Artist Talk: "Cuba, U.S.A. and Japan Under One Roof – Art and Nationality"
Participating Artists: Abel Barroso (Cuba), Yuki Maruyama (U.S.A.), Charles Worthen (U.S.A). Date and Time: November 2 (Sun), 5:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm. Moderators: Mizuho Ishii, Maiko Sugano, Akira Yasuda (Yomoyama-So Executive Committee). The 2008 Yomoyama-So resident artists will share anecdotes, observations and insights gained from living together in a Japanese house, and from their experience of Japanese culture at large. They will also address the role of art in their respective countries of origin/ residence. The relationship between nationalism and love, and the possibility of communication that transcends national borders will also be likely topics. Seating capacity: 40 Admission: Free #
